He is well known for his theories of human motivation based on tiers of needs—Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.

While the details of his theory have been critiqued and adapted, his basic framework is still helpful. Acknowledging your different tiers, or levels, of need is key for deep growth. We have developed our own Thrive Pyramid of Needs that we want to teach you. Most tutoring focuses on teaching students “head” knowledge to pass a class.
